Jack is my aunt’s dog. The story is heartbreaking, but, I assure you, Jack is getting along just fine and seems to be very happy still. (I have no information on Cali, however.) Unfortunately, vet bills are very expensive and it’s awful when you’re faced with putting down a dog (or any animal) that can be fixed/saved/cured/etc. just because you don’t have the money. To many, myself included, pets are like family members. It is like being told you have to “put down” a family member because you do not have the money to treat them. Money is not something so easily obtained. It is just like a slap in your face. “You couldn’t save them because you are too broke.”

Anyways, if you guys wish to donate, please do. More importantly, though, if you wish to spread the information with a simple reblog, that ismuch appreciated. I am spreading this around not just because Jack is my aunt’s dog, but because they are seriously starting a foundation for those who cannot afford to help their animals. We can’t always protect our furry friends, but knowing that there is someone willing to lend a helping hand or somewhere to turn to when you can’t afford the help on your own is a huge relief.
